“Where artists find community”
Artisan is an artistic community based out of Dallas, Tx. We have different branches within Artisan. “Writers, Worship, ISO, and Records”. These branches can and do work together as a support system. Though they are all technically their own entities; each branch helps the others, and in return, benefits from the others. Artisan operates on a “chapter” based system. We have a selected group that joins each chapter. We create new music, write new songs, record, and film. We also support new and upcoming artists and are always looking for the next great talent. The Artisan pinwheel represents the different branches of our community. They don’t work without a few thing. The first is the other branches. They support each other and help push each other forward. They work as a team and their solo momentum joined together with the others, brings stronger movement. We also believe all expressions of creativity are all beautiful on their own merit, but are essentially pointless without the breath of God to move on it. Though we support many musical genres, art forms, and creative expressions, Christ is still the cornerstone of our organization. Our prayer is that God will breathe on our creativity.
Here is an inside look at one of our weekly co-writes. We spend time telling each other stories and sharing what we are going through. From those places pour out honest and real songs. This is a family and everything said here, stays here. We are honest with each other when something isn’t great but we prefer the person over the song. The relationships behind the music matter more than any song we could ever write. From that place of trust with each other, it’s easy to write real, honest and vulnerable songs. .
