What is Artisan Writers?

Artisan Writers is a place for writers living without an artistic expression to come together and create. Something so special happens when you get a bunch of artistic people in a room and tell them they can be themselves. No harsh rules or strict guidelines. This controlled chaos actually spawns art and creativity at its finest. Artisan Writers is continuing to bring local artists together to both grow and learn as songwriters. This is a safe place to be yourself and to step out into uncharted territory as a songwriter. Every month we bring in a special guest speaker that is currently in the music industry. They teach on publishing, writing, creative process and a million other things. Once a “semester” we will hold a special writers round that is open to the public. This will be a chance for all the writers to showcase the songs they wrote during their season as an Artisan Writer. This is a closed group of writers that are specially chosen for a certain amount of time. That being said, it’s open to anyone who would like to apply. We believe everyone has a unique voice and should have an avenue to use it freely.
